We stayed hot, going 13-7-1 in Week 2 (65%), bringing our season total to an incredible 33-13-3, hitting on 71.74% of our bets collectively. If you’re not tailing us, you’re making a mistake. It’s free money delivered straight to your inbox!
This week, we’ve got plays in all but two games, with consensus plays in three of those contests, including our favorite bet of the week which has all five of us on it.
Full disclosure: that bet is ugly and it’s mostly a principal play for this group.
If you’re winning money tailing us, please let us know in the comments! We love to see it!
Pod Best Bets went 2-2.
Consensus Bets went 2-1.
Teaser legs went 2-1, so you’d have lost money playing all combinations, going 1-2.
Shall we stunt on ‘em another week?
NE at NYJ
CONSENSUS! This is the single most popular bet we’ve had so far this season. All five of the Single Leg Parlay guys are on the NE/NYJ u37.5. I mentioned last week that primetime unders have been hitting at an outrageous clip over the last few years. We’ve built quite the bankroll betting this, regardless of the number.
Beyond that under play, Danny is taking the points with Patriots on the road. NE +6.5.
NYG at CLE
CONSENSUS! We follow that one up with another consensus play. Andy and Matt like the NYG/CLE u38.5 in this one while Al is taking NYG +6.5 on the road. We’re going sicko mode this week.
CHI at IND
CONSENSUS! And it just so happens that our last consensus play of the week is also in the early Sunday window. Al and Chris are taking IND -1 at home against da Bears. It’s a bounceback game for the Colts. Andy is taking the under here. CHI/IND u42.5.
HOU at MIN
We discussed at length whether the Vikings are legit on the podcast this week. One of us says yes, one of us says no. Al’s on HOU -2.5 while Danny is on MIN +2.5. Al and Danny are on opposite sides in this one, a common theme this week.
PHI at NO
Al and Andy are taking the PHI +1.5 here, which would be consensus if not for Chris taking the other side. He’s on NO +2.5. Maybe we can all middle here.
LAC at PIT
Can’t imagine many people are going to be glued to their TVs watching this one. Matt’s on the Chargers’ team total under here, LAC TT u17.
DEN at TB
This time, it’s Al and Chris fighting. Al’s on DEN +7 while Chris is on TB -7.
GB at TEN
Here, we’ve got Al and Danny on opposite sides again. Danny is taking the Packers and the points with GB +3, while Al is laying it with the home team against Malik Willis, TEN -2.5. Hopefully we end up with an exciting game here!
CAR at LV
Danny is laying it with the Raiders at home against Andy Dalton(!!) here, LV -5.5. This line was heading the other direction until Dave Canales pulled the plug on Bryce Young. And I’m glad it happened as it saved me from betting on the Panthers. The line has moved from 7 down to 5.5 and it may not stop there. I think a competent QB may not be all the Panthers need to win games, but I wonder if it’s just enough to get them to start covering the spread. No other reason to watch this one.
DET at ARI
Danny and Al are at it again in this one. Al’s taking DET -3 after they let the Bucs game slip away. Danny’s buying into the Kyler hype and taking the home dog here, ARI +3.
BAL at DAL
Chris is going to taking the Ravens here, BAL +1, with the thought being that he just can’t see the Ravens starting 0-3. It’s much too good a roster for that.
SF at LAR
Andy’s taking LAR +7.5 and the SF/LAR u43.5 here, despite a full third of the Rams’ starters sidelined with various injuries. “No Cooper Kupp, no problem.” - Andy, probably.
KC at ATL
I know the Falcons looked much improved against a good Eagles team, but this is Mahomes in a dome, giving less than a touchdown. Don’t overthink it. Al’s taking KC -4.5.
JAX at BUF
And finally, Al is a 10th play this week. JAX +6 in Buffalo. Anyone who has watched the Jags this season will tell you their offense looks lost out there. Trevor Lawrence is shook. The offensive line is mid at best. Don’t be fooled. They’ve got the perfect remedy here on Monday Night Football: a porous Bills defense that has been able to fly under the radar a bit thanks to three gift INTs from Tua before his unceremonious exit on TNF last week. The Jags can keep this one close.
Wong Teasers
If you’re unfamiliar with a Wong teaser, or teasers in general, check out the explainer in last week’s post.
Here are the Wong teaser legs this week, along with some lines that might get close by kickoff: CHI +2, LAC +2, MIN +2.5, SF -7.5, CIN -8, PHI +2.5
Beyond those, here are some teams with lines moving toward the Wong range: ARI +3, TB -7, GB +3, DAL +1.
