NCAAF Week 3 Picks

8 consensus plays this week.

First, a breakdown of last week’s picks and where we stand for the season.

As a group, the boys went 25-17 on plays in Week 2, winning 59.52% of their plays. Pretty…pretty…pretty good! Matt led the way, going 6-2. For the season, we’re now 56-42 overall, winning 57.14% of our bets. To stay ahead of the vig, you’ve got to win 53% of your plays (assuming -110 odds), so anything better than that mark is good, and anything approaching 60% historically is really good. In case you needed that context.

So on to Week 3!

There are four plays with majority consensus. Last week’s majority consensus plays went 1-1.

This week, those plays are Michigan -22.5, -23.5, -24 vs Arkansas St which Al, Andy, and Danny all like (at different numbers), ECU +2.5 vs App St with Al, Danny, and Matt on that one, UCLA +3 vs Indiana with Al, Andy, and Danny on it, and once again, back to the well with NMSU +19.5, +20, +20.5 at Fresno St with Al, Andy, and Danny on that one. This week it looks like it’s Matt that hates fun.

There are four plays that at least two of us are on. Last week, these plays went 3-1.

Andy and Matt are taking Kansas -7 vs UNLV, Andy and Danny are on Texas Tech -9.5 vs North Texas, Al and Danny are on Utah -20, -21.5 at Utah St, and finally, Andy and Danny are on UTEP +23.5 at Liberty.

As a matter of course, when there is a line that we all like at different numbers, I probably would not suggest taking it beyond the worst number we list it at. For example, I would not lay more than 24 points with Michigan.

Those are the eight picks where at least two of the boys are on the same side this week. Let’s hope for good results!
