Checking in with some bets in a sport you may not know much about...

It’s been a minute since our last post.

In fact, since the last time we got together to give you some bets, Ohio State won the College Football Playoff, the Eagles won a Super Bowl, and Florida Gators have won March Madness.

I guess it’s been a little more than a minute.

Now I know what you’re thinking. You’re expecting a bunch of boring baseball plays peppered in here every other day, grinding out a modest profit. And let me be the first to tell you that you’re very wrong.

I’ve got an exciting new sport to introduce to you! I present…

Australian Rules Football

This sport kicks ass. It’s like if soccer and basketball had a mean baby with a cute accent. I’ll spare you the full rules breakdown, but here’s a great video explainer from the sport’s top league.

“Who cares?” “I can’t watch this.” “I don’t understand what’s happening!” I hear you. WE care. We care because we can make money on it.

What was born out of a pandemic and a grimy desire to continue sports betting at all costs, we got hooked on Australia’s most exciting sport.

Almost all of the games are played between 10:30pm and 8:30am on the East Coast of the US. So if you’re up late, or live on the West Coast (7:30pm starts are a lot more reasonable!) see if you can find a feed online. Typically, Fox Sports starts airing AFL matches around the middle to end of the season, which is currently almost a quarter of the way through. And the season carries you right through into football season. It’s football year round!

Of course I’ve got plays for you. Overall this season, I’m 16-12 and I have three tiers of plays. The top tier is 4-2, the middle tier is 3-6, and the bottom tier is 9-4.
