A 1-5 week. Yuck.
First, we got hooked on the West Coast spread where the Eagles team kicked 4 goals to 7 behinds compared to Adelaide’s 7 goals to 6 behinds. 11 scoring opportunities to 13. That should roughly shake out to about a 7 point margin. Instead, West Coast lost by 17. That’s unfortunate.
Then, a similar story in the Hawthorn match, where the Hawks kicked 8 goals to 12 behinds while the Suns kicked 6 goals to 1 behind. Our side was cold, the other side was hot. So it goes.
If those go the other way, we’re looking at a 3-3 week but sometimes the kicks get you in trouble and sometimes laying big spreads can bite you.
Season long tally on the women’s side is now a much more pedestrian 21-17.
